ENERGETIC youngsters can let off steam at a new play area which has been officially opened in Kidderminster.
The park, in Baskerville Road, has been revamped with swings, a roundabout and a ball court and was opened last Thursday.
The Community Housing Group (TCHG) in partnership with Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership, launched a Cleaner Safer Greener (CSG) project on Sion Hill estate, which was driven by the Broadwaters Residents Action Group (BRAG).
Gill Smith, resident involvement manager, at TCHG, said:”The park has completely been refurbished with proper floor and fencing. It’s a really good play area now.
“It’s something that’s on the estate that’s in a safe environment. Families will benefit because they have not had a facility for younger children for a couple of years.”
She added the refurbishment of the park was in TCHG’s 30 year strategy.
“BRAG have been very passionate about getting a facility for families on the area so we secured CHG funding and the park was done,” she said.
